Holliston PTO will award two types of scholarships at Senior Awards Night (please check the HHS website for date and time).
The PTO Essay Scholarship* - $1,000 Will be awarded to one recipient based on a written essay submission (200 word minimum) in addition to the PTO 4-year membership requirement for all years attending Holliston High School. Scroll down for the written essay prompt. In addition, a Holliston High School Scholarship Application is required, but do not send us your EFC financial information or activities resume. Visit Membership to pay dues. Payments in arrears are accepted. Add 1-year membership to your order cart for each year you wish to purchase. This recipient will be chosen by committee.
The PTO 2018 Membership Scholarship 2- $500 Will be awarded to two seniors determined by a random draw from a pool of eligible names. All seniors who have paid PTO dues for all years attending Holliston High School are eligible. There is no need to apply. Visit Membership to pay dues. Payments in arrears are accepted. Add 1-year membership to your order cart for each year you wish to purchase. Each recipient will be awarded $500. The recipients will be selected in a drawing at a prior PTO meeting and announced at Senior Awards Night.
Eligibility for all PTO Scholarships:
- Paid membership dues to PTO for each year of student’s career at Holliston High School. If your family is not a PTO member this year your parent can join by following the instructions on the membership page. The PTO Scholarship Committee will confirm your paid membership status for each of the years you attended HHS. If it is determined there are any years that you were not a member, we will contact you to give you the opportunity to bring your membership status up to date so that you may be considered for the PTO scholarships.
- The graduating senior is continuing his/her education full time in the fall.
- Verification from HHS administration and guidance that the applicant is in good academic and civic standing by providing your transcript. (This will be completed by PTO Scholarship Committee.)
*If you are applying for the Essay Scholarship, please answer the following prompt and return your essay and application to HHS Guidance by all deadlines presented by the guidance office. Do not include your name at the top of the written essay page so that submissions can remain anonymous..
