Secretary Role Description

Category: EXECUTIVE OFFICERS

The Board of Directors is responsible for their committee responsibilities and attending Board Meetings. The Board governs the PTO by creating and voting on action items and expenses related to school events and programs.

Timeframe: Year-round, 1-2 year term (preferably 2), with option to continue

Description: The Secretary shall keep an accurate record of all PTO and Board of Directors general meetings and shall perform other duties as may be delegated by the President or the Board.

  • Records minutes of meetings

  • Posts meeting minutes to PTO website

  • Maintains membership list in coordination with treasurer

  • Townwide calendar planning for PTO meetings
