The process for volunteering for this role is conducted through the Elementary Classroom Coordinator Leader at the beginning of each school year.

  • Placentino and Miller School Culture Connection/Assemblies Coordinators will work with the PTO Elementary School Chair and each school's Assistant Principals to bring in assemblies and enrichment opportunities for students. This may involve continuing previous experiences and coordinating logistics for the school year or brainstorming and developing new ideas with the Assistant Principals or other interested parents/guardians. Some past enrichment activities included author visits, Dino-Man Assembly, Science Program from the Discovery Museum, and more. We would prefer to have coordinators for each school.

  • Elementary Science Day Committee: Several years ago, a Science Day was held at the Elementary school on a Saturday morning featuring interactive science activities.  We would love to bring this event back to life! This position would be great for someone with a passion for science and/or ideas about how to bring more science into the lives of elementary students in a fun event.  It is very flexible, so you can do whatever you want to do with it! Open

These coordinators share the signup genius with third-grade Classroom Coordinators, help parent volunteers don their 18th-century attire at the beginning of shifts, and help as needed. Two coordinators should be there each day, so if there are multiple coordinators, it is not a full-week commitment, and there is minimal planning. Open

This year-round position (1-hr/month) would reach out to restaurants and venues to set up Holliston PTO Nights/Days and work with our Director of Communications and Social Media Chair to advertise to the elementary school community.
